Buyer Terms of Service

1. Platform role
Birkly Marketplace is a platform where independent providers list digital extensions (plugins, themes, template packs) for Birkly CMS. Birkly is not the merchant of record for third-party offers unless explicitly stated on the listing.
2. Accounts and purchases
You may browse the catalog without an account. Checkout requires a valid email address. Optional marketplace accounts let you view My purchases and manage licenses. Marketplace accounts are separate from Birkly CMS admin logins.
3. Licenses
Paid and some free community offers issue a license key bound to your CMS installation_id and seat tier. Official Birkly free plugins may be installed directly from the CMS without manual key entry. You may not share, resell, or circumvent license limits.
4. Digital goods
Extensions are delivered as downloadable artifacts verified by SHA-256 checksum at install time. You are responsible for compatible Birkly and PHP versions declared on each offer.
5. Provider relationship
Third-party providers are responsible for their listings, support, and primary refund decisions. Contact the provider using support details on the offer page. See our Refund policy.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the marketplace to distribute malware, infringe intellectual property, or violate applicable law. Birkly may suspend access or revoke licenses for policy violations.
7. Supply chain
Listings declare trust levels and capabilities per our Marketplace policy. Install only from trusted sources and review declared capabilities before enabling plugins in production.
8. Limitation of liability
Extensions are provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. Birkly’s liability is limited as described in the full terms once legally reviewed.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
