Refund Policy
Effective 2026-07-07 · Draft for marketplace go-live — legal review required before production.
1. Overview
Digital extensions on Birkly Marketplace are licensed, not sold as physical goods. Refunds are handled on a provider-primary basis: the seller of an offer approves or denies refund requests, with platform escalation when needed.
2. Refund window
Buyers may request a refund within 14 days of purchase (configurable per platform policy). Requests after the window may be denied unless required by applicable consumer law.
3. How to request a refund
- Log in to My purchases on the marketplace (or use the link in your receipt email).
- Open the order and submit a refund request with a short reason.
- The provider reviews the request. Official Birkly free offers may be auto-approved where applicable.
- You receive email notification of approval or denial.
4. On approval
- Stripe processes a full or partial refund to your original payment method.
- The associated license is set to revoked on full refund.
- Installed copies may stop receiving updates; paid features may be disabled per the plugin’s license enforcement.
5. On denial
Contact the provider using the support email or URL on the offer page. If you believe the denial violates policy or law, escalate to Birkly platform admin through the contact channel published on the site.
6. Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback without first using the refund request flow may result in license revocation and account restrictions.
7. Free offers
Official Birkly plugins are free and do not require payment. Community “free” offers that used checkout for email capture may not be eligible for monetary refund; you may deactivate the license in the CMS instead.
